Where do you go for your interiors inspiration?

When we’re feeling particularly creative, we can find that spark just about anywhere. On a walk on a nature trail, in the way evening light falls through our curtains. Other days, when we’re feeling a little less open to the muses, we turn to Instagram.

Here’s why: there are thousands of talented interior designers, artists, renovators, stylists, and DIYers on Instagram, providing endless content to be inspired by. Every interior style is represented, and it’s relatively simple to find the kind of inspiration you’re looking for.

Using hashtags to search for accounts that you might be interested in (#midcenturymodern, #bohemianhome, etc.) or specific projects or styling that could pique your interest (#wallpaperdecor, #wickerfurniture, etc.) is relatively simple, and you can save your favorites for later and organize them according to your preference.

If you’re looking for a few quick hits, we’re teeming with recommendations. Here are the first accounts that come to mind!

Andrés Reisinger - @reisingerandres

We repost Andrés pretty consistently on Dune’s Instagram because his work is futuristic, conceptual, and oddly soothing. We’re consistently drawn in by his monochromatic work, incorporating bold shapes and colors into rooms that could be bland without his specific touch. Though it’s unlikely we’ll live in a home with this type of style, it’s awe-inspiring to see the art that Andrés creates with interior design.

Shavonda Gardner - @sgardnerstyle

Shavonda’s use of bold wallpaper, jewel tones, and natural light drew us in immediately. Her take on interiors is so individual in a time when many are trending toward white and bright everything. One other reason we love this talented designer? Her bio says it all: “Curating a home is a marathon, not a sprint.” That’s a sentiment we can get behind.

Sophie Carpenter - @sophiecarpenter

Sophie has found the exact right formula for white walls and wood tones, and we seriously can’t get enough. She regularly blends mid-century modern accents with modern bohemian style, pairing pampas grass with leather couches, and wicker pendant lights with subway til. If you’re plant-obsessed you’ll love her just as much as we do.

Elena Lohse -  @thishouse5000

Apartment Therapy may have put it best when they described Elena’s style as “Scandi vibes with boho touches.” Every photo that we see of her styling and designs makes us feel warm, at home somehow through the screen on our phones. We find solace in the minimalism of her larger decor items (like furniture, etc.), and the subsequent maximalism of her add-ons like plants and candlesticks. That mix of bare and bountiful is perfectly executed by Elena.

Margaux Follis -  @thefrenchfolk

Every room in Margaux’s home looks like it belongs in a magazine - or on a Dune mood board. The woman is mad for wicker, a love that is evident in every room from the nursery to her entryway. Along with beautiful shots of her family, Margaux shares sneak peeks into her life as an interior designer, as well as DIY projects that produce results that are anything but amateur.

Jodi Bond -  @houseonasugarhill

Jodi lives in a self-described “Anthro inspired home”, so it’s easy to see why we envy her sense of style. She goes for bold colors, unafraid to paint her kitchen cabinets a bright marigold or commit to a stunningly green couch. We’re here for her vintage rugs, her fearless spirit, and her unconventional color combinations, and we think you will be too.
