Cozy Beverages You Need to Try This Winter

Is there anything more seasonally appropriate than curling up in an oversized chair with a big blanket, warm mug filled with a cozy drink in hand? When we picture our perfect winter night, this is what it looks like. That feeling of having nowhere else to be, able to simply relax and slowly sip on a lush drink.

No matter if you’re a coffee connoisseur or like something a bit more...spiked, if you know what we mean, we have a cozy beverage idea for you. Read on to get the recipes for four of our favorite cozy winter drinks.

Turmeric Latte

First, let’s start with morning beverages. While many mornings we reach for our favorite brand of coffee, making a turmeric latte is a little luxury that actually has health benefits. Turmeric lattes, also known as “golden milk”, originated in India, and is known to combat inflammation and the common cold, and aid in digestion. This beautiful goldenrod yellow latte is warming to your soul, and provides the same amount of energy as a cup of coffee without disrupting your sleep or giving you the jitters. The Golden Root turmeric latte sachet is our personal favorite, because it is made with organic ingredients.

Spiked Peppermint Mocha

Last but not least, a holiday drink list would not be complete without a peppermint mocha. This version is spiked with irish cream for a comforting texture that will give you a bit of a buzz. We love the combination of bittersweet chocolate and fresh peppermint in the winter, and this cozy beverage just happens to hit both notes. The best part of this recipe is that it includes a quick how-to for creating your own peppermint mocha whipped cream as well. Add a few peppermint stick cracklings over the top (and maybe a marshmallow if you’re feeling really festive), and you’re good to go! Get your Public Goods Hot Cocoa mix here and handmade marshmallows too!
